You can't sell a 100-year-old idea with futuristic frills. This is an age old love story where being in love is more important than everything in life. But it doesn't show any innovation in its writing. It even gets the tricky part right - the futuristic design of the story telling. The actor tries his level best to breathe some life and charisma to the lackluster role, but it just doesn't work out. There's absolutely no emotional depth or resonance to his character. He starts off as a guy having girlfriend problems and commitment issues and after experiencing 30-odd years of the future he ends up as an attentive boyfriend. But Sidharth's character is not given any such curve. If someone was able to see the future of their relationships, they'd probably come back with a lot more gravitas and personal resolve. The script and screenplay on this film are totally haywire. The problem with Baar Baar Dekho is that it gives you a simple problem, makes a big deal out of it and then provides a kindergarten level of solution for it. If saying no to sex after a kiss was the prerequisite for genius, half of Earth's population would be scientists.
